Bangladesh Tuesday said it respects envoys from foreign countries, including those from Pakistan.
Apropos a news item published in Daily Times, Bangladesh Embassy in Islamabad stated that the comments made by former high commissioner of Pakistan to Bangladesh Rafiuzzaman Siddiqui are “unthinkable on part of a senior former diplomat.” “The comment is particularly distasteful because it is directed at Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina who has always been gracious to envoys from foreign countries, including those from Pakistan,” a statement issued by the embassy read.
