GHOTKI: At least 45 suspects were arrested during different search operations, conducted by police and Rangers, in Ghotki and Khairpur areas of Sindh. According to reports, police on Friday conducted door-to-door checking of seminaries, Imambargahs and guest houses in Ghotki and apprehended 25 suspected persons. SSP Masood Bangash said that the raids were conducted in Khanpur, Mehar, Adilpur and other areas of Ghotki district under the National Action Plan (NAP). Meanwhile, the Rangers on Friday conducted a targeted operation in Khairpur and rounded up 20 suspects. The Rangers also recovered a huge cache of weapons and explosives from the suspects’ possession. The suspects have been shifted to undisclosed locations for interrogation. The identity of suspect could not be ascertained immediately.
